PREP Week 4 Reflection

This is our finished prototype. I expected it to be tricky but it wasn't. I already knew how to use the sander and that's all we needed to do so that's why it was so easy. For next week Izan said he would bring the varnish and maybe a packaging to make it look nice.

PREP Prototypes

These are the prototypes Jamie and I created with the off-cuts of wood Izan got. The one on the top left was what we started off with, a piece of wood that was already cut into a square. The top right is the same thing but with the sides sanded. Bottom left is all of it sanded and the bottom right is the final prototype with it completely sanded and level, the edges were quite the sight aswell.

PREP Week 4 Planning

We have our wood now and it's sitting in the office so we can use it whenever we want.

After we get into the woodwork room we will create a prototype of our product so we can see how it turns out. For our actual product, we might add some carpet to the bottom of the coasters so the wood doesn't scratch the surface on which it's being used on.

To get this carpet Izan and his mum will go to the carpenter and grab whatever offcuts we can use. We will glue the carpet to the bottom of the coasters.

If we aren't happy with how our prototype turns out we will keep making them until we are.

Week 3 PREP Reflection

Something that went well was we able to finish all the preparation (which was our prep proposal & the recourses) we needed to do for our product but I think could have done it faster if we didn't mess around as much so I will work on that next time. Nothing was very tricky for our group since everything we did was something we already knew how to do what we were doing. Next week for PREP our group needs to get wood so we can start working on the actual product.
